bCloud+ is an end-to-end solution to take care of your JD Edwards system on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) right from hosting and migrating to providing managed services supported by SLAs.
The instance will be hosted on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. We can collaboratively select the specific OCI region based on your business presence, compliance requirements, and availability of paired-regions for DR.
You would need to provide licenses for the following: JDE, MS Visual Studio, MS Office, Web Application Server (Weblogic/Websphere), and any other software you need to be installed on the compute instances.
Birlasoft will provide the compute, storage, backup, DR, monitoring, Oracle database license, and value-adds.
Once we migrate the instance, you will complete the testing required to sign off on the new JDE instance
For now, we support all JDE instances with an Application Release of 9.0 or higher with Tools Release 9.1.4 or higher. If you are on a lower release, please contact us for a custom quote that includes an upgrade to a supported release.
Birlasoft will take care of JDE CNC, Cloud Management, Cloud Security, and Database Management. You would need OS Patching and domain administration expertise, as these compute instances would be part of your existing domain.
The bCloud+ program doesn’t include JDE technical (object development-related) and functional (business process related) support. bCloud+ is currently designed with Oracle or MSSQL as the underlying database. We will have to convert UDB or DB2 databases to Oracle/MSSQL DB as part of the migration.
bCloud+ is designed with Oracle Enterprise Linux as the OS of choice. Non-x86 platforms (i-Series, p-Series, SPARC, HP-AIX) are not supported and must be converted to Linux/Windows as part of the migration. If you want to use Windows as the OS, we will provide you with a custom quote.

An IPSec VPN tunnel provides access to your OCI tenancy from your data center. We will also implement industry-standard Cloud security and protection policies for the tenancy. You will have complete control over who has access to the applications and the database. Further, since the compute instances are attached to your existing domain, all your current OS-level security and access policies may be applied to these instances.
Since every customer’s current JDE landscape is different, we execute migration to the bCloud+ platform as a separate engagement. But we do offer a free migration service if you sign up for a three-year subscription and meet specific minimum technical requirements.
Yes, we can migrate you to bCloud+ from other Cloud providers.
If you meet the minimum technical requirements for bCloud+ (JDE Apps 9.0+ and Tools 9.1.4+), you do not have to upgrade to be on bCloud+.
